Try this surprising new trend for a flawless face every time

Want your foundation to be absolutely flawless? Then you've got to get baking—but don't worry, there's no oven needed. We're talking "baking," or "cooking," the hottest new trend among makeup artists. The surprisingly easy technique leaves skin glowing and is lauded by Mario Dedivanovic, head of Kim Kardashian's glam squad—and if it's good enough for contour queen Kim, it's good enough for us. Caution: Make sure you leave a little extra time for best results. Your flawless complexion will be totally worth it.

Step 1: Moisturize the area beneath your eyes with eye cream or your favorite face moisturizer.

Step 2: Cover the space below your eyes with a heavy coat of liquid concealer. Start from the apples of your cheeks and follow the line of your cheekbones until you reach your temples. Dab gently with a damp makeup sponge to blend into your skin. You can also apply concealer to other areas that you think should stand out, such as your chin, the bridge of your nose or your forehead.

Step 3: Apply a thick coat of translucent face powder with a makeup brush. You want to spread it over all of the areas that you just covered with concealer. Dab again with your makeup sponge so that the concealer can soak in the powder.

Step 4: Let the powder sit for about 10 minutes. (This is the "baking" part.) It might seem like a long time, but you can always scroll through Insta while you're waiting.

Step 5: Dust off any excess powder with your makeup brush, blend in concealer and proceed with your normal makeup routine. Hey, bright eyes!
