#WeTriedIt: Caress touch-activated scented body wash

Picture this—your crush taps you on the arm. All of a sudden, you smell totally amazing. Is it the magic of true love? Nope. It’s your body wash.

That’s the idea behind Caress’ new Forever Collection, anyway. Touted as “Fragrance Touch Technology,” the new collection functions as both body wash and perfume thanks to scent pearls that activate with touch. Sounds crazy, right? We thought so too, so we just *had* to try it...

Here’s how it went down

I went with the “Love Forever” scent, which smells like berry-scented flowers (in the best possible way, I promise). Jossie grabbed “Adore Forever,” which combines honey, vanilla, amber and rose. They smelled totally incredible in the bottles, so our hopes were high.

I took it home, hopped in the shower and began to lather up. It smelled awesome, just like I thought it would. (Side note: The wash is bright red, so the suds were pink—adorable!)

When I got out of the shower, though, I couldn’t smell it anymore. Weird, right? I was ready to call it a dud and move on… until I started getting dressed. Every time I brushed against my newly clean skin, I could smell that berry-floral scent again. It was super subtle, but it definitely worked—and I smelled great.

When I got to work, I started raving about it to Jossie and her face lit up. Turns out, she had totally forgotten about the wash after her shower but couldn’t figure out what smelled so good. (Hint: It was her!) Needless to say, we were totally fangirling.

Final review:

This product smells great, and it actually works…oh, and it’s insanely affordable at $3.99 a pop. The nice, light scent was perfect for me, because I’m a little sensitive to smell and don’t love strong perfume or super-scented body washes. If you’re more of a fragrance-loving lady, though, it might not be enough for ya. Overall, though, it’s pretty awesome that this new perfume tech exists. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
