Hustle to the mall and buy yourself an entire new wardrobe. Your clothes from last year are, well, so last year.

First look through your closet for clothes that still fit but then head to the mall for just a few new items.

Tell yourself that you already own enough clothes from last year and if you need more you’ll thrift it up.

4	How do you tend to spend your allowance each month? On clothes and makeup…duh! Put it all in your savings, you’ll use it one day for something more important, like a car. Buy something you’ve been longing for and save whatever is left in your piggy bank.

5	How much is too much to spend on your homecoming dress? $30 or less, anything more expensive will just make you feel guilty. $75 or less, you want to look beautiful but not go broke. I’ll pay anything just so I get to wear the perfect dress.

6	How often do you look for sales? I keep an eye out for them, but I’ll still allow myself to buy an item I love for full price every once in awhile. Sales are soo messy. Who has time to sort through that? Always. I never buy anything for full price—no exceptions.

7	You get your allowance on the last Thursday of each month. By the end of that weekend your money is… Partially spent. You allowed yourself to splurge on some dream items but plan to save the rest for later in the year. Safe and sound in the piggy bank What allowance? It’s basically already gone.
