Teen Years

These years are quite tough,
I'm not gonna lie.
But at the same time,
They are quickly passing by.

Everyone just wants to fit in,
Their place in the crowd.
They want to be liked,
They want to be found.

One's individual passions
are not always accepted.
They'd love to freely share them,
But know they'd get rejected.

Some things seem SO important,
You don't even know why.
But they are actually quite silly
if you look them in the eye.

All of this won't even matter
10 years from now.
So don't let it get to you,
Pretty soon we'll be saying "Ciao!"
