Try these 6 organization tips for back-to-school season

The clock is ticking! School is right around the corner but are you back to school ready? Your backpack has probably been stored away in your closet for months and you may need to revamp your school supplies. Remaining organized will be key to feeling ready and maintaining a healthy headspace as you prepare to take on your fall classes. Check out these 6 hacks to stay organized this fall.

Hack 1:  Create a customizable notebook system

Rather than buying a standard notebook on your next Wal-mart run, invest in an arc customizable notebook which will give you the luxury of organizing your notebook into as many sections as you please without the fear of running out of paper. Staples, $5.90

Hack 2: Mark your planner with a paper clip

Having a planner to keep your days organized is a smart way to stay ahead of the game but flipping through countless pages to get to your current week can feel tedious. But thanks to the paper clip, you can open up your planner to your desired page.

Hack 3: Color coding is your friend

For each class, have a distinct colored notebook or folder. This will visually help you find any materials for a class within seconds.

Hack 4: Invest in a cord taco

Getting in a scuffle with your headphones is never a great start to your day, so invest in a cord taco to keep your headphones neatly in place ready to bust out your fave jams between classes. Etsy, $6

Hack 5: Make a cardboard cutout to store your bobby pins

Ladies, how many times have you misplaced your bobby pin once it’s out of the package? Probably more times than you’d like to admit. But don't fret, by making a small cutout with colorful and sturdy cardboard, you can place used bobby pins on this holder for future use.

Hack 6: Be intentional about packing your bag

To optimize space in your backpack, prioritize items from big to small. Ensuring everything is easily accessible will be a great way to stay organized and avoid hastily searching for that summer reading book.

As you get ready to conquer your fall course load, try any of these hacks to make your return to school feel less stressful.
