Jake and Rowan want you to get active this school year
What would Girl Meets World's Rowan Blanchard and Lab Rats: Elite Force's Jake Short bring for lunch on an ordinary school day? A peanut butter and jelly sandwich (crust for Rowan, no crust for Jake), chocolate and, of course, a Danimals yogurt.
But not just *any* Danimals yogurt—one with a special golden label (aka a "golden bongo") that signifies you're in for an incredible treat. No, not the yogurt, silly. Something much bigger. Allow Rowan to explain:
"Five lucky winners, if they find the golden bongo, will win an NFL field day for their entire school." Basically, Danimals is teaming up with Play 60 once again to keep *you* active. All you've gotta do is grab a Danimals yogurt and some totally talented NFL players could visit you and your classmates for a day of fun and fitness!
But even if you don't win, it's still important to get outside and play, Jake says—especially in our age of technology and iPhones. Not only that, getting active together promotes teamwork, too, Rowan says.
So how do these Disney darlings stay in shape themselves? This summer, in-between takes on set for his upcoming film #Roxy, Jake got himself into a workout routine, somethin' he'd never done before. "I was like, 'You know what, I'll give this a try.' Not a huge fan of free weights, but I do enjoy playing pickup basketball games, football—whatever I can find. Just getting a few buddies together and getting outside—even though it's hot—is a good workout," Jake says.
Besides free weights, Jake's also not a fan of sitting in hair and makeup for an hour and a half each day on set, something he had to do for #Roxy so that he could truly fit the part of big-nosed Cyrus Nollen in the film.
"The first two times was like, 'This is cool!' The last three times it was like, 'I can't wait to get this thing off at the end of the day,'" Jake says.
Rowan, on the other hand, is chillin' now that she's done filming season three of Girl Meets World. Which—eek!—might not be returning for a fourth. Real life Riley Matthews is feeling some good vibes about it, though.
"[Season four] is pending, but hopefully if people just keep watching the show, and they enjoy the lessons that we share—hopefully, fingers crossed," she says.
Crossing our fingers for you, Row, and everyone who picks up a pack of Danimals!
