Is it summer yet? How to survive the homestretch of the school year
Summer is right around the corner and we can practically taste the iced cold lemonade and feel the hot sun on our skin. With vacation so close, waiting can be a drag. Surviving these next few weeks may seem almost impossible, but as the saying goes, “It ain't over till it's over.”
Follow our quick and easy guide and you'll survive these next few weeks, no sweat.
1. Plan. It. Out.
Keep a calendar so you don’t fall behind on any important year end deadlines. Teachers tend to pile a lot on students this time of year, so it is important to stay on your game and finish the year out strong.
2. Reflect
As the end of the year approaches, you might realize you spent a lot of the cold monts cozied up under the covers with Netflix. Now that it's warm out, it's time to close your laptop, get outside and reflet. Soak up the sun while working on a scrapbook, recording a video or journaling. The creative exercise will help clear your mind—and you'll thank yourself for the memories down the road.
3. Count down!
Keep a countdown filled with your daily and week goals. Crossing off each day with a full list of accomplished activities under your belt will be very satisfying (and you’ll be that much closer to sitting by the pool).
4. Stay present
Though your eyes are on the prize, don’t forget the beauty in everyday. While summer is the greatest time of the year, life goes by quick and you don’t want to spend any time wishing it away.
Are you ready for the end of the school year? How are you holding on?
