6 gift ideas for your favorite teacher

Show your teachers just how grateful you are for their amazing work of the last nine months by gifting them with something super thoughtful. Remember, the best prezzies come from the heart, not the pocketbook, so get creative, chicas!

A homemade treat. No teacher will say no to a batch of gooey brownies, your mom’s signature snickerdoodles or some tasty chocolate bark. One thing to note: Before you bake, be certain of any allergies or eating restrictions, like a peanut allergy, diabetes or veganism.

A remember-us-always calendar (or at least through next year!). Websites like Snapfish.com and Zazzle.com allow you to completely customize a calendar with photos, special holidays and cute sayings. Leave a bit of your class behind next year with fave snapshots, inside jokes and few totally bizarre days to call your own.

A potted plant. We love herb garden trios and gorgeous spring flowers. Try painting the pot with chalkboard paint and throwing in a packet of chalk. Get your classmates’ autographs and gift your plant away. So cute!

A gift card from the class. Quietly ask everyone to donate a dollar or two to the gift card fund. Together, pick a spot your teacher loves to shop. Starbucks and Barnes and Noble are perennial faves, but if she loves funky jewelry or fun shoes, a gift card to a local boutique or DSW will show just how thoughtful you are.

A school year scrapbook. Print off some pictures of you and your classmates taken during the school year, paste in doodles of funny moments and ask your crew to write a few paragraphs on what they loved or will remember the most.
A reverse report card. Get your best gals--or the whole class--together to write up a report card for your teacher. Give her grades in things like announcements, after-school study sessions and explaining things we don't get. Don't forget the star stickers and the personal comments.
