Add these oldies to your holiday playlist

Christmas is almost here, and it's time to begin the holiday festivities! Listening to Christmas music is such a big part of getting into the holiday spirit. You probably know Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, but do you know these *classic* Christmas songs? Add these oldies to your music playlist (right next to Mariah Carey ofc!) for this holiday season.

Little Saint Nick - The Beach Boys

Originally released in 1963 as a single, this catchy song embodies the "surfer" vibe. It also appeared on The Beach Boys' Christmas Album in 1964, with different instrumentation. If you want to add some beach vibes to your holiday season, listen to this song.

My Favorite Things - The Sound of Music

This whimsical song was first sung in 1959, in the original Broadway musical, The Sound of Music. In 1965, Julie Andrews sang the song in the film version of the musical. Fun fact: This song wasn't originally intended to be a Christmas song. However, over the years, different artists began to incorporate the song into their Christmas albums.

What Christmas Means To Me - Stevie Wonder

Upbeat and lively, this is the perfect song to dance to at a Christmas party. Released in 1967 by Motown Records, it appeared on Stevie Wonder's album, Someday at Christmas. The song has been covered by different artists over the years.

Merry Christmas Darling - The Carpenters

Calming and melancholy-sounding, this sentimental ballad sounds heavenly. Originally released in 1970 as a single, a different version of the song appeared on The Carpenters' 1978 album, Christmas Portrait. If you want to listen to slow-paced tunes over the holiday, this song is for you.

Feliz Navidad - José Feliciano

Released in 1970 on the album José Feliciano (later renamed Feliz Navidad with additional music added to it), this classic song is fun to sing and dance to. The Spanish language used in the lyrics also makes the song unique.
