How to survive a long distance relationship with your bestie

Everybody talks about long distance relationships when it comes to dating, but it can be a tough thing with your bestie, too. It's difficult to go from seeing your BFF everyday to trying to figure out times when you can both talk. Don't worry though because we put together some tips on how to make sure you keep your friendship no matter how many miles are between you.

Video chat.
With apps like Skype, FaceTime, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. there are tons of ways for you to chat in real time with your bestie.

Tag them.
Seeing a funny meme or video on social media and tagging her in it just lets her know you're thinking about her.

Send letters or postcards.
Sometimes the best communication is the old-fashioned kind so send her a handwritten note in the mail to really make her day.

Plan a trip.
When you have a little bit of free time (maybe this summer?!), plan a fun trip to visit her new hometown. She'll love showing you around and you'll *finally* be able to see all the things she talks about but that you could only imagine.

Follow through.
It can be hard and we understand that life can get busy but try to stick to the times you said you would FaceTime or call her. The less you stay in contact, the greater the distance (figuratively) grows between you.

Watch or read the same thing.
Start a bookclub with your bestie or watch the same show on Netflix and then talk every few days about your fave parts.
