Your Bod

My boobs get bigger on my period--is that supposed to happen?

My boobs get really big, well not really big, but larger when I’m on my period. Is this normal? And is there any way I can keep them this size?

Hey girl! It’s pretty normal to experience some breast swelling (and tenderness) in the week or so before you get your period. It usually comes along with a whole host of other PMS symptoms including: cramps, moodiness, poor concentration and mood swings.

While most women don’t experience the symptoms strong enough to ruin their day, it can be really uncomfortable. Take a couple Tylenol or Midol to help ease the soreness and tenderness. Also, cutting down on caffeine and increasing your dairy intake during this time could help relieve some of the pressure. Make sure to drink lots of H2O, too. It’s so important to get lots of water during your period to help your body adjust more easily to what it is going through.

Unfortunately, if your breasts don’t feel like growing all on their own, there is really nothing you can do to make them stay that size.
