"Why do I have hair on my upper lip?"
Some people say I'm growing a mustache. I'm not really, but there is just a very faint dark line above my upper lip. Does that really mean anything? Am I actually growing one?
No way! You are so not growing a mustache. It’s totally common to have some peach fuzz on you upper lip. Anyone who feels the need to tell you that you’re growing a mustache is not a good friend.
But if it's bothering YOU and you feel that it’s something you want to hide, there are easy ways to do that. Because it’s such a common thing, you’ll find lotsa hair bleaches and waxes at the drugstore that are specifically for the face. Talk to your mom before trying either, though.
If you go with the bleach, just test it out first on a tiny bit of hair (perhaps not on your face) to make sure you’re not allergic. Waxing is gonna be a bit more painful, so that’s not our first choice. But there are waxes safe for your face and you’ll probably want Mom’s help for that project.
Just remember: Hair on the upper lip is really common, so don’t fret!
