I have an armpit mole

I have a big, red, very noticeable mole on my armpit. I’m in the sixth grade and people are starting to tease me about it. Plus, I think it will hurt when I start shaving my armpits. Is there any way to get rid of it without leaving a scab that will break open every time I shave?
Hey, girl. This sounds like something that you should show to your doc and consider having removed. “Your armpit is actually quite delicate—there are many nerves under the skin here—so it's not a good idea to not pick at this mole or even shave this armpit until you see your doctor,” says Elizabeth Bobby, Nurse Practitioner at About Women By Women in Wellesley, Mass.
Bobby explains that removing a mole is an easy procedure that’s done right in the doctor's office after numbing your skin with medication injected by a tiny needle. (Numbing cream can even be applied before the needle.) If your doc recommends this, he or she will also advise you on how to take care of any scabbing until it heals.

Moles are very common and can be anywhere on your body. Lotsa people feel that moles, like freckles, make their skin more beautiful and unique. But when a mole gets in the way of daily activities like shaving, it could make sense to have it removed.
