Prevention Intervention

Whether it’s right before your period or after a long day in the sun, it’s easy to break out and once you do, you probably want to nix it fast. That’s what a lot of products help us do these days: zap it out, remove it with a tape, cover it up, etc.
But why not just prevent it? It might sound easier said than done, but there are a few easy tips that anyone can follow for better skin…without regretting it later!
It’s all about the nighttime care
So you see commercials and there’s always a girl in a bright room (prob in the morning) washing her face and getting bright skin. That’s definitely important, but what really matters is washing your face at night. That’s right, ladies! Before you go to bed, your pores are bound to be clogged up with dust, oil, etc. Whatever it is, you want to make sure your face is clean before you head to bed because a) your skin rejuvenates the best when you sleep and b) because you don’t want to rub all that ickiness on your pillow!

Not just fluffy pillows, but CLEAN pillows

Now, you’re probably wondering, “what’s up with this whole pillow thing?” Well, if you think about it, there is nothing more than a pillow that your face touches for a long period of time. And if that’s the case, you’re def gonna want it clean. So, try changing-slash-washing your pillow cases at least once every two weeks.

To get some sun or to block it?

That really is the question, isn’t it? It’s known that most females lack in vitamin D, and so it’s important to go out and get some sunlight. But it’s also known that too much sun can easily irritate your skin…or even nurture unwanted bumps on the face (not to mention skin cancer). So what’s the solution? Sun block lotion of course! Hit the nearest pharmacy and get some sunscreen on your face. You should be using about a quarter-sized amount everyday to protect your skin while getting the right glow from the sun. Neutrogena and Aveeno make ‘screens low in oil.

Not too wet, not to dry, just right!

One of the most important skin tips is (drum roll please)…MOISTURIZER. Morning and night plus one more tap of moisturizer during the day can do wonders for your skin. It makes sure that your pores aren’t too tight, (which by the way could irritate your skin), or too dry, which can look weirdly flakey. It’ll give you the perfect softness, just like a baby’s face!

Now, if you think your skin is just way, and I mean completely, totally, way out of control, don’t hesitate to see a dermy. But if you jut need a bit of a skin improvement, follow these few hints and you’ll have great skin in no time! Good luck!
