10 thoughts that go through your head during a workout
Your New Years Resolution to work out more may have fallen through, but in the spirit of Lent (or just spring), you can renew that pledge to exercise! After all, it's a great time to clear your mind...or something like that. Check out the ten most common things running through our minds while we're at the gym:
“Summer bodies are made in the winter, right? Yeah. That summer body is going to be all mine. I’m going to work out all the time and eat so healthily no one will even recognize me in my bikini.”
“Working out is so fun. Exercise clothes are super trendy now. Maybe I’ll send a Snapchat to my friends to show them I’m working out… before I get all sweaty, of course.”
“Alright, keep going, eyes on the prize… OMG wait, this is my favorite song! I love dancing. Dancing is exercise. I'm just gonna dance for a minute.”
“Oof. I’m getting tired. And I’m bored. HOW HAS IT ONLY BEEN 20 MINUTES? I would really rather be doing anything else. Like eating Cheez-its.”
“No no no no no, gotta keep going. If I finish this workout I can have a smoothie. I LOVE smoothies.”
“Hmm, I don’t even know if smoothies are worth it at this point. You know what I really want? Pizza. Cheeseburgers. Ice Cream.”
“Thinking of food… what am I going to have for dinner? All this working out is really giving me an appetite.”
“OMG will it never end? Time never goes this slow when I’m watching Netflix."
“10 more minutes… I can do it… no I can’t… yes I can.”
“IT’S OVER. Wow, working out isn’t that bad. I’d do it again… maybe. Do I have abs yet?”
