Treadmill workouts that won't bore you to death

 

Sometimes getting motivated to get up and workout can be so hard. Especially if the idea of running on a treadmill and staring at the wall for a whole hour sounds super boring. But what if switching up your routine could make a difference? Check out these three treadmill workouts (for all fitness levels) that'll have ya in tip-top shape...minus any yawning!

Workout # 1: Beginners

This workout is designed for all you girlies who are just starting out. Be sure to take it easy and remember, you'll be a running queen in no time.

Warm up: 

Walk at 20-30% for 5 min. 

Start: 

Jog at 30-40% for 1 min.

Walk at 20% for 3 min.

Repeat 4 times.

Cool down: 

Walk at 20-30% for 5 min. 

Total time

26 min. 

Workout # 2: Interval madness

If you're used to hitting the pavement but want to take it up a notch, interval training will help build that endurance ya need so you can run that extra mile.

Warm up: 

Walk at 20-30% for 3 min. 

Start: 

Run at 50% for 2 min.

Jog at 40% for 1 min.

Run at 60% for 2 min

Jog at 40% for 1 min.

Run at 70% for 2 min

Jog at 30-40% for 1 min.

Run at 80% for 1 min

Jog at 30-40% for 1 min.

Run at 90% for 1 min.

Cool down: 

Walk at 20-30% for 5 min.

Total time: 

20 min.

Workout # 3: Hills hills hills

Know that burning feeling you get after going up a long flight of the stairs? That's what this workout will feel like, only it'll be sooo worth it because your glutes will look AMAZING in the end.

Warm up: 

Walk at 20-30% for 5 min on a 0% incline.

Start: 

Walk at 30-40% on a 7-9% incline for 4 min.

Jog at 30-40% on a 0% incline for 2 min.

Repeat 4 times. 

Cool down: 

Walk at 20% for 5 min. 

Total time:

34 min.
