Why you should start using a wellness journal
Health and wellness can be a tough thing to track. Especially, when you aren't sure where to start. Thankfully, for you we have the perfect solution: a wellness journal. This handy, dandy notebook will help you keep your goals, (yes *all* the goals), in check! So, if you are the girl who wants to sleep better, or eat healthier or work out more, write it down and track your progress.
1. It will help you understand your habits
We all have habits. Some of them are good, some of them not so much. But many times, we don't know what our own habits are. With a wellness journal, you can both analyze and understand where they come from. With this new info, you can improve on what you want to change.
2. Track your wellness
With a wellness journal, you can track your fitness, sleep, mood and nutrition. By keeping this record, you can look back on the progress you have made. You can also look ahead. With a wellness journal you should ask yourself: Are these changes helping? Where do I need to improve? What progress have I made?
3. It will help you keep a record of your goals
Like tracking your habits, tracking your goals are sooo important. In your head, you might think, "I want to eat healthier." While, this thought might come to your mind from time to time, when you keep a wellness journal, you will see this goal every single day. From there, you can keep working on it.
4. Plan for rest days
Although, a wellness journal will help you stay on track with your goals, you should also plan for some "rest days" too! In order to accomplish your big dreams and ambitions, you need some relaxation and breaks. So of course, write down these days as well.
What to record:
+ Food intake: Are you trying to eat healthier? If so, use your wellness journal to record the foods you are eating. How can you make your meals healthier or better?
+ Sleep: Use your wellness journal to record your sleeping habits. If you have a hard time sleeping at night, use yours to find out why. Keep track of what you're doing right before bed, what time you go to bed, if you eat before bed, etc.
+ Exercise: If you have a workout goal, use your journal to track your progress.
+ Other ideas: Skin changes, mental or emotional goals and water intake.
