How much water should I drink?
I don’t know how much water to drink! I heard I don’t have to have 8 cups a day, but what should I do?
“The most important thing about water is to be consistent and drinking frequently through the day,” says Chicagohealers.com Practitioner Dr. Helen Lee, DC. Dr. Lee recommends drinking more H20 and even water with electrolytes (like Gatorade) if you’re going to be working out for a long time in the heat.
So keep a water bottle handy and just keep chugging all day. Need some hydration motivation? A recent study in Pediatrics found that teaching kids about the health benefits of H20 can actually prevent ’em from becoming overweight. The kids who drank water were less likely to drink juice and ate slightly less, which might have something to do with it.
