The three avotoasts you *need* to try
It’s safe to say that avocado has been the “trending fruit” of the year (and yes, it’s a fruit), appearing on salads, in tacos and even in smoothies! Not only are they delicious, but they also have serious health benefits. They’re full of disease-fighting antioxidants and help eyesight and the digestive system.
More recently, people have been furthering the obsession by making what’s called “avocado toast.” The recipe is exactly what it sounds like, but here are some of our favorites…
1. The Breakfast Classic

After spreading some mashed avocado on your favorite toast, fry up some bacon and make an egg sunny-side up. Top it off with some salt and pepper and you have yourself a delicious on-the-go breakfast. (Add some red pepper flakes if you want some spice!)
2. Cheese Lover

Feeling a little hungry during your busy day? This toast is the perfect light snack. On top of your avocado, add crumbled goat cheese or feta, balsamic vinaigrette and a little black pepper. The flavors are so rich it’ll be hard to eat just one slice.
3. The Vegan and Vegetarian

For those who want to go without meat and dairy, don’t fret because here’s the toast for you. Add tomatoes (sundried or fresh), chopped basil leaves and pepper. Add pesto if you want to go that extra mile.
