The first time I ever stayed home alone, my mom told me to set the house alarm as soon as she left. I unknowingly turned the motion sensors on, too. When I went to the door to pack up all of my lacrosse gear for a scrimmage I had later that day, the alarm suddenly went off. I ran barefoot over to my neighbor's thinking someone had broken in and forgot to turn off the alarm. When I got back, a police car, my mom, my lacrosse ride, and most of my neighbors were standing in my driveway. I felt so stupid when we found out I had just tripped the sensors. Pretty embarrassing!
