Sometimes I get nervous when I'm calling someone on the phone. I'm afraid I won't say the right thing when they pick up. One day, I called my friend's house to see if she could hang out. Instead of saying, "Hi, this is Gail, is Laura there?" when her mom answered, I said, "Hi, this is Laura, is Gail there?" I was so embarrassed that I hung up immediately and didn't call back! Unfortunately, I think she knew who it was.
