GL FOOD: Quickie Pretzels

Don’t get it twisted…these pretzels won’t get you bent out of shape. Take a chance and get creative. Make personalized pretzels that you have always wanted to try, but haven’t been able to buy. You can get creative with the pretzel shapes too

Pre-made Pizza dough
2 Tablespoons butter
Salt, Cinnamon/Sugar, or Grated Parmesan Cheese (for toppings)

Place the dough in a large mixing bowl and cover with a towel. Let it rise until it is about three times its original size. It may be helpful to set the dough out before school and then make the pretzels after school. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Once the dough has risen, take it out and put it on a flat, floured surface. Divide the dough into about 12 equal pieces. Roll the dough into ropes and then shape it into a pretzel shape and place on a greased cooking sheet. Brush each pretzel with melted butter and sprinkle whichever topping you want onto the pretzels. Bake for 8 minutes or until they are golden brown.
