Have your cake and eat it, too: 5 holiday treats that aren't *totally* bad for you
None of these recipes actually involve cake...but you get the point!
The holiday season is known for being an all-around cheerful time of year. Whether you're decorating a tree, lighting the Menorah during Hanukah or wrapping gifts with your family, there's hardly a dull moment throughout the month of December.
The season is a delicious one, as well, which can prove to be a dangerous game if you're on a health kick. December is practically a breeding ground for delicious foods and treats! It's easy to forget our fitness goals during the holidays, but this year, you don't have to.
Here are our fave healthy *and* delish treats to serve up at your fam's holiday bash! (Bonus: Many of these are no-bake!)
1. Peppermint Fudge Energy Bites
The base of these cute and tasty snacks consists of almonds and dates, so there's no need for guilt when noshing on this no-bake, bite-sized treat.
This recipe speaks for itself. Think of this snack as a health-conscious caramel apple, except this time, there's chocolate!
3. Raspberry Chocolate Chip Protein Brownies
Oat flour and unsweetened applesauce are the foundation of this dessert. Don't let that scare you away, though. There are just as many sweet components as there are healthy ones in this treat.
4. Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mocha Truffles
If you're in a time crunch, this recipe is perf for you. These truffles are *so* simple: they only require five ingredients.
This bark takes *literally* 13 minutes total to make, so there's no excuse for skipping this delish snack. Psst! Put these in little treat bags for an instant prezzie!
