MAKE IT CUTE

Wear *this* to boost your mood

The first few weeks of school are always exciting. You can’t wait to find out who is in your classes, be back with your friends and to show off all your cute new outfits. But unfortunately, right around October, endless homework, tiredness and cold weater kick in...and it gets hard to wake up excited to pull together yet another outfit. What can help? An outfit that helps you look good AND feel good. Check out our fave ways to boost our moods just by getting dressed in the morning.

1. Wear bright colors. When it starts to get chilly, we naturally tend to wear darker hues. But matching our #OOTDs to the dreariness we see outside can make us even less pleased (sorry, olive green!). Try adding bright, fun accessories to your everyday wardrobe—bright earrings or flats will put a smile on your face every time you catch yourself in the mirror.

2. Rock your favorite outfit. Everyone has an outfit that makes them feel like they can take over the world. Why save it for special occasions? Wearing an A+ ensemble to school will make you feel confident whether you're giving a presentation in front of your class or sitting down for a test. Try clothes that you associate with specifically good memories, like the sweater you wore on a first date with your BF or your fave necklace from your family trip to Mexico.

3. Don't be afraid to have fun with it. Why not wear accessories or clothes that make you smile? Phone cases with donuts, pants in a palm tree print, huge hats and tees with smiley faces on them are just a few ways in which you can say, “I'm happy today!” Trust us, everyone wants to be surrounded by someone who is giving off those vibes. And when the people around you are smiling, that awesome energy will come bouncing back to you. Even better!

So how do you dress happy? Lucky socks? Rock your favorite color? Crazy sneakers? Tell us in the comments...
