Want to know what it takes to model for GL? Get tips and tricks from real girl Taylor

Meet Taylor H., 15, the winner of our 2014 model search and star of the February/March issue's "Get the Look" feature. We're in love with her gorgeous hair, but we heart her killer confidence even more. You'd never know that this was her first-ever fashion shoot!

So how'd she make it on the pages of GL? Taylor is a graduate of Barbizon Modeling Schools, and this past October, she took to the seas for their annual Passport to Discovery Cruise. GL watched as Taylor and a bunch of other gorg girls learned how to strut their stuff from industry pros (and had a ton of fun along the way). It was Taylor's ah-mazing smile and ability to own a room that made her the clear choice for us to book for a photo spread. We hope you think so too.

GL: Who is your celeb inspiration?

TH: Taylor Swift. She doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about her and totally knows how to be her own person.

GL: What is your favorite look to rock this season?

TH: My favorite look is a loose sweater with patterned leggings and boots. It’s just really comfy and super cute.

GL: What did you like about shooting with GL?

TH: I loved working with the GL team. They were so understanding and helpful.

GL: What is the best tip you’ve learned from the Barbizon pros?

TH: To never give up. Just be yourself because that’s the best that you’ll ever be.

GL: Are you a heels or a flats girl?

TH: Def a heels kinda girl.

GL: Have any advice for girls who want to start modeling?

TH: You gotta have the confidence to walk in there and just own the entire show.
