You know that person who you can always trust to be totes honest with ya? Maybe she is your BFF, your older sis, fave cousin or even your mom…whoever she is, make a prom shopping sched with her, stat. You always want someone else's opinion when you are trying on clothing…especially someone’s opinion whom you value and trust. Getting the seal of approval from a babe who knows your style and is uber honest will be one of the best prom shopping choices you make.

It is super easy to blow tonsa green on prom which is why it is crucial to know how much you’re willing to spend. Whether you're breaking out the bucks big time or keeping your prom shopping dollars tight, stick tight to your predetermined limit.

#5: Choose what makes you feel like a prom queen
In the end, prom is about having a super fab time with your crew, so choose the dress that makes you feel like the ultimate princess. Don’t dismay if you don’t find your fave frock right away, just go with your gut and purchase whichever dress makes you feel the best about, well, Y-O-U!
