Get ready to hit the beach with this DIY tee-tote

Need a bag to use at the beach now that it's spring and the sun's out? This tee-tote is exactly what you need. Grab any shirt you've outgrown and give it new life as a no-sew, no-problem fab and fun accessory.

What you'll need: an old t-shirt • scissors

Directions

1. Cut the sleeves and neckline off your shirt, making sure to remove the stitching and the hem. If you want a wider bag, cut deeper into the neck.

2. Cut the hem off the bottom of your tee and lay your shirt out flat.

3. Measure and mark (or eyeball) three inches from the bottom of the shirt, then cut all-around into fringe about 3/4 inches wide.

4. Take one strand from each side of the shirt and double knot to close the bottom of the tote.

5. Pull each fringe to elongate them so they're not choppy and wide.

6. You're done! Throw your tee-tote over your shoulder and get ready to go.
