Fur-tastic
Faux fur is all the rage this year. Fur vests, fur scarfs, we love ‘em all. Why not add a little bit of this cozy fabric to your bedroom décor? Take an ugly old computer chair (yes, your dad’s from the 90s will do), remove the cushioned part, and cover it with faux fur fabric (check your local fabric store) and secure it by using a staple gun. Your room will go from normal teen-cute to celebrity chic in just a few minutes!

Cute and Colorful
Need an extra pop of color in your space during the dreary winter months? Buy a can of brightly colored spray paint from Lowes or Home Depot (we chose a funky vibrant blue hue). Then, go to the fabric store and find crazy patterned fabric to match—the wilder the fabric, the better! Spray paint an old dining room chair your mom is dying to get rid of, then remove the cushion and cover it with the fabric using a staple gun. Voila! You have a brand new statement piece for your bedroom at a next-to-nothing cost.

Folding Fabulousness
Almost everyone has a folding chair collecting dust somewhere in their house that only gets used for family reunions (when is the next time your parents are going to host the family reunion anyway?). Ask mom if she’ll part with the rusty metal chair so you can give it a fresh look. Start by giving it a coat of spray paint in a bold color. Then, remove the cushions and cover the cushion in a fun fabric (we live for chevron). The fun thing about it? You don’t even need the cushion to match the color of the chair—the contrast makes the seat look way chic. Plus, if you don’t have much space in your room, you can fold the chair up and hide it in your closet when you need extra room. I know, I know. You can thank us later.

Sassy Stools
Who knew a bar stool could be so modern and stylish? Grab an old wooden stool from a thrift store and paint the legs a color of your choosing. When dry, paint the bottom ¼ of the legs and the seat gold. Because the metallic paint adds a real ritzy-glitzy factor, it’ll look like you bought the stool from a contemporary little boutique! Place the finished product in the corner of your room for extra seating when your besties come over, or put beside your bed and use as an end table.
