How to host a dreamy at-home movie night date
Movie nights are a tried-and-true date. But after what seems like a million Netflix nights with your crush, it's time to mix things up. Put a fun new twist on the classic movie date with our tips for hosting a movie night at home!
Step 1: Send the invite text
This is the scariest part. But no worries, we've got you! Send your crush a text with the poster of the movie you plan on watching and say, "Showing at *insert time here* at my house! Got us tickets!" Once your crush says they're coming (because, duh), it's time to start shopping.
Step 2: Get the snacks
You can't have a movie night without movie theater snacks. Head to the store and grab lots of popcorn, Twizzlers, M&Ms, you name it. Make movie theater trail mix by popping your popcorn and mixing in a bit of the different candies you got for your crush (and, tbh, a drizzle of caramel never hurt anyone). Don't forget to order pizza for dinner.
Step 3: Get comfy
This date is all about the aesthetic setup! Hang string lights and light some candles to create a cozy vibe. Grab some comfy blankets and pillows for the couch. Put out your snacks and drinks—then get ready to enjoy with your crush.
Step 4: Enjoy!
