Should I still befriend my admirer if I don't like him?


I am friends with this boy and we text each other a lot. One time I texted him, because my friends told me that he liked me. So, I asked him and he said yeah. I am wondering if I should still text him or if it might be awkward.  What should I do?


HIS ANSWER: "Yes, you should still text him and no, it won't be awkward as long as you don't make it [awkward], " says Willi, 15. "If anything, just continue the conversation casually and don't put pressure on the question."


"If you like him, go for it," says Sydney, 15. "If you don't, make it clear you just want to be friends in the least awkward way possible."


"You should still text him, but you should communicate so that the two of you are on the same page regarding your relationship," says Ryan, 15. "If you're not ready for a relationship, tell him."


DECODED: Keep on texting and just go with the flow -- you'd want the same thing if the roles were reversed. Are you interested? It's pretty clear you two are headed in the right direction -- let him know you're feeling the same! Not crushin' back? Gently let him know how ya feel, and try to keep your relationship how it was before ya asked.
