Is being 'friends with benefits' a smart move?
My guy friend and I kissed the other
day. He has a girlfriend he really likes, and he wants to be friends
with benefits. I want to too, but I don’t know if his girlfriend
would care. She doesn’t know about me because the three of us go to
different schools. Is being friends with benefits a good idea? Or
should we just stay the same, even though it won’t seem the same?
Dear Kissing Confused,
No, it is not a good idea to become
friends with benefits. Why sell yourself short? Be friends or go out,
but the in-between stuff isn’t ideal. And yes, of course his
girlfriend would care. Wouldn’t you be upset if he were your
boyfriend and he started kissing her?
