My crush and I have been next-door neighbors since we were little and have pretty much grown up together. In middle school, he was really popular, though, and had lots of friends.

 

One day, his group of friends was making fun of me because I have a learning disability and I’m blond. My crush said, “Yo, guys! If you didn’t notice, Gianna (that’s me!) is the most beautiful, sweetest, most amazing person you’ll ever know. So back off, cause you’re lucky to even be in the same class as her.”

 

He kissed me after class, and we’ve been together ever since—3 years so far!
