By day, Alexandra is a well-behaved high school senior well on her way to Princeton. She has an adoring jock boyfriend, fantastic grades and the top position on the cheer squad. She seems to have it all together.

At night, though, it’s Milena Rokva who has trouble sleeping as she wishes desperately for the normalcy she pretends to have. At the same time, she also hopes to avenge the murder of her Mother. After Milena was deposited to the Compound Perun boot camp at age seven, she was trained and transformed into the lethal sleeper-agent she has become, and now she’s on a mission. Her mark? In order to gain his trust so that she can betray it later when the day comes, she must embody the average American.

But it’s not so easy. Milena has been playing Alexandra so long, she’s starting to lose track of where she ends and the other girl begins. For one thing, her feelings for Alexandra’s boyfriend, Grant, are starting to feel very real. But can it ever really be love if he doesn’t truly know who she is? On the other hand, there’s also Varos, Milena’s best friend from the Compound. Varos knows everything about her and loves her anyway, but he’s embarking on a dangerous path she’s not sure if she wants to follow.

If only her biggest problems were just boys! Death-threats, global takeover, double-agents, hidden files and a blown cover—by the time you get to the shocking conclusion of this cliff-hanger, you won’t know who to trust, and neither will Milena.
