Get lost in the zoo in How to Outrun a Crocodile When Your Shoes Are Untied

Ever think that you’re the only one walking on eggshells to get through junior high? You’ll definitely be proven wrong when you read Jess Keating’s How to Outrun a Crocodile When Your Shoes Are Untied. It’s an absolutely perfect summer read before starting that next gloomy semester at school in the fall.

Ana Wright’s junior high experience wasn’t ever fantastic, but when her best friend Liv moves to New Zealand, school goes from bad to worse. Not only does Liv move all the way across the world, Ana suspects that she’s acting strange—especially in their super important video chats.

As the daughter of zoologists, Ana spends a good amount of time at the Denver Zoo. But that part-time job turns into full-time when her parents decide they want to literally live there! If she hadn’t already gotten enough humiliation, living in a zoo is definitely far from ordinary. Now when Ana isn’t at school, she has to spend the day with her brother Daz, who doesn’t even seem like he’s from the same species, let alone her twin.

The Sneerers (the most popular three clones in the whole school) seem to have it out for Ana—especially since Liz has left. But when Ana is paired up with a Sneerer during class, she realizes that maybe one of them is actually…nice?

Want to find out the fate of Ana? Then totally make sure to pick up How to Outrun a Crocodile When Your Shoes Are Untied when it hits shelves Tuesday, June 3.
