Flowers in Bone Cages by Sophie Glynn

This one might be a tearjerker, but def worth a read. This novel tells the story of 16-year-old Irene and her battle with anorexia, anxiety and depression. Instead of battling a classmate or a sibling like most teens, Irene is fiercely trying to battle herself and her diseases. You’ll be pulled in to Irene’s world by all the intense, relatable emotions she experiences during her fight for survival.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

This round-up would not be complete without The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Before our babe Emma Watson and super cutie Logan Lerman starred in the Perks movie, it was a hugely popular book. Through its pages, we follow Charlie’s family drama, his first dates and many high school stepping-stones on a serious rollercoaster of emotions. You’ll love this book so much, you’ll wanna read it twice (that is, if you haven’t already!).
