Loud Awake and Lost: Suspense for the serious bookworm
Ember was in a horrible car accident that landed her in the hospital for eight months with six weeks of memory gone. The story starts with Ember returning from the hospital for the first time. And as happy as she is that she’s finally home, something is not right.
Ember begins to look through her past in hopes of triggering her memory. With the support of her family and friends, she’s confident that she will feel normal again. But when her best friend Rachel comes to visit, Ember is again uneasy about who she is.
Soon enough, friends are treating Ember differently and always acting as if they are hiding something from her. Who was the “real” Ember before the accident? Connecting with an artist named Kai sheds some light on her life right before the tragic event. But when some things about Kai don’t add up, it’s even more confusing for Ember to figure out her true identity.
Read this novel full of unexpected twists of events, suspenseful scenes and a whole lot of lies to find out the truth behind who Ember Leferrier really is.
