Dip into magic with The Real Boy

Are you a bookworm with a love for magic? Then Anne Ursu’s new book, The Real Boy, is going to be on your list of must-reads!

Fitting in is hard enough, but with the added pressure of not being good at magic, Oscar has a pretty tough life. To his surprise, though, he’s chosen to be mentored by Caleb, a wise wizard who sees potential.

As Oscar begins to figure out what his fate is, something strange begins to happen in the City (where he’s lived his whole life). Children have become sick and it’s up to Oscar and his BFF Callie to figure out why.

Deep in the woods of the Barrow, there are some seriously scary monsters that want to take all of the magic for themselves and hurt the people of Asteri. Oscar and Callie, with the help of mentor Caleb, must go against all odds and enter the Barrow for the sake of finding a cure for the City.

During the adventure of the magical duo, there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your feet. This tale of friendship, magic and overcoming your fears is the perfect book for when you need to take a break from your study sesh for next week’s test and will put you in the spooky seasonal spirit.

Be sure to check out The Real Boy (out now) and let us know what you think.
