It's a great morning for Swifties! This morning T-Swift announced the release of her top-secret new album. Swift took to Instagram, writing "Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore."

After canceling Lover Fest in April, Taylor Swift has been writing and recording Folklore in isolation. The album will contain 16 (yup, 16!) new songs, co-written with Bon Iver, Jack Antonoff, and more. She also announced that the music video for "cardigan"—which Swift wrote and directed herself—will premiere tonight as well.

In honor of Folklore being her eighth studio album, Swift has made eight deluxe CD and eight vinyl editions that will include a bonus track "the lakes". After completely transforming her Insta feed— as she does for every album— Taylor expressed her excitement for this new project, saying "Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much ♥️"
