Where do Girls' Life models get discovered? Barbizon's Passport to Discovery (PTD), where girls gained *tons* of real-world modeling experience (when not relaxing by the pool). 

We instantly noticed Ashley Smiley. She's a Barbizon grad who radiates confidence, positivity and authenticity—from her fierce and fabulous style to her unwavering passion for dance. "Fashion is a part of who I am." 

That's why we knew we *had* to choose Ashley as the Girls' Life PTD model search winner—and fly her out to Los Angeles to appear in a stunning photoshoot.

On the shoot, the GL fashion team styled Ashley in *all* the '90s vibes, from pops of color paired with denim to maxing out her look in a maxi. "I loved the neon look," Ashley tells us. "I had an amazing time in LA. My photoshoot with Girls' Life was so much fun!" 

Modeling isn't always easy, but Ashley knows how to keep a sunny outlook when times get tough—and how to inspire others by telling her story. "I used to think I had to keep changing myself to do a good job," Ashley confesses. "Sometimes I can be my biggest critic. But [I learned] that girl power is all about embracing who you *really* are." 

Now, thanks to following her dreams with Barbizon, Ashley's learned that modeling is all about staying true to herself. What's next for this queen? She's following her dreams to become a professional dancer someday—and we just *know* she's going to be a star in whatever she pursues.
