Must List

8 movies we don't wanna miss this year

Now that 2012 is officially here, there are a few movies we’re itching to see in the coming months. Forget about celebrating the flicks of 2011 with the current awards season. These titles are already flagged on our to-do list. Which will you be checking out?

Joyful Noise

Keke Palmer stars in this musical drama where two strong-willed choir directors, Vi Rose Hill (Queen Latifah) and G.G. Sparrow (Dolly Parton), must cooperate together in order to save their small-town choir. Joyful Noise hit theaters Jan. 13. Have you seen it yet?

The Vow

The ultimate romantic movie. A tragic car accident puts Paige (Rachel McAdams) in a coma. Waking up with severe memory loss, she forgets who her husband, Leo (hottie, Channing Tatum) is. And on Feb. 10, get ready to cry and laugh while Leo attempts to win the heart of Paige just like he did when he married her five years ago. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this movie is definitely going to be a tearjerker, but we cannot wait to see this The Notebook-meets-Dear John soon-to-be romantic classic!

The Lorax

Not only are Dr. Seuss’ classics always entertaining, but this remake includes the voices of hottie Zac Efron and country cutie Taylor Swift! We can’t wait to see (well, hear) them in animated action when it hits theaters March 2.

Mirror Mirror

This urban remake of Snow White includes Abduction star Lily Collins as Snow White, and actress Julia Roberts as the evil queen. Definitely keep an eye out for cutie Armie Hammer as the Prince, too! Check out Mirror Mirror when it hits theaters March 16.

The Hunger Games

The wait is almost over! The Hunger Games leads you through Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark’s struggles as they compete in the Hunger Games, a ruthless competition where only one tribute can survive. Hotties Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson star alongside Jennifer Lawrence. Have you read The Hunger Games? There’s still time! The highly anticipated film based on the first book of the trilogy by Suzanne Collins comes out March 23.

Titanic 3-D

A classic is a classic, but everything is better in 3-D, right? Watch this heart-wrenching love story unfold at your fingertips April 6, just in time for the 100th anniversary of the ship's doomed voyage.

The Lucky One

A Nicholas Sparks novel-turned-movie, Zac Efron stars as a marine who finds a mysterious woman’s picture while overseas, and travels to North Carolina searching for this gal whom he considers his good luck charm. It hits theaters April 20.

Finding Nemo 3-D

Just Keep Swimmin’, Just Keep Swimmin’. This hilarious Disney Pixar classic will have you swimming in the ocean with Dorey and Nemo—literally. We can’t wait to experience life under the sea with our fave fish Sept. 14.

Which of these flicks are you excited to see most? Blog about it, babes.
