Must List
Travel in time with Never Shout Never
If you
crossed Jack’s Mannequin’s sound with the lyrics of The Maine,
the result might be something like Never
Shout Never’s latest CD,
Time Travel,
set to release Sept. 20.
The
first release to include a full band consisting of lead singer
Christofer Drew’s friends from his hometown of Joplin, Missouri,
the CD is loaded with a more electric, slow sound than the band’s
recent releases—and we’re definitely not complaining.
“Simplistic
Trance-Like Getaway” is the most pop-like song on the album and,
arguably, one of its best tracks. Your heart will melt when you hear
Christofer Drew croon, “Honeydew, I wouldn’t trade you for the
world, you are my dream that has come true.”
“Until
I Die Alone” is another one of our faves. Its melancholy sound
stands out against your typical love song.
People
who like alternative music will love Time
Travel. And fans of slower
pop will definitely enjoy. It’s the perfect remedy for a breakup or
just a rainy day when you’re stuck inside!
Be sure
to check out Time Travel
when it releases Sept. 20. Then come back and let us know your
favorite track.
