A cute new boy band to love

That’s right! Look out, JoBros, because there are new teenage heartthrobs hitting the charts. And they go by the name Il Volo—a new boy band made up of three Italian cuties, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble. Yea, you might’ve caught their performance on American Idol last season.

Translated as “the flight” in English, Il Volo released their self-titled debut album in Italy back in November, but recently just introduced their new CD to America in April. The tracks are mainly in Italian (translation: They might be harder to belt out than songs from your other fave boy bands) but don’t let that stop you from popping this hot new album into your stereo this summer.

Some may call Il Volo the Italian version of the ever-popular Jonas Brothers, but their music styles aren’t exactly the same. While the Jonas Brothers have a pop-ish flair that keeps you dancing and singing, Il Volo’s songs are peaceful and calming ballads.

Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca might be from our young and hip generation, but their music is fab for all ages. Their songs are not only beautiful, their voices are totally unbelievable. So much so that your parents are sure to love their version of the famous song, “Smile,” which was made popular by Nat King Cole.

“Smile” is one of three English songs on the album, joining ballads “Painfully Beautiful” and “This Time.” Come on, girls. Who wouldn’t want to listen to three incredibly cute boys sing songs about love?

Be sure to check out Il Volo’s debut and lets us know what your fave tracks are.
