Giving back to your community is *always* important, but it's more important than ever in 2020—Giving Tuesday is still on.

What is #GivingTuesday?

Giving Tuesday is the national day of giving and a global generosity movement aimed to help communities everywhere. Since 2012, it occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to promote thankfulness and generosity. (It uses *a lot* of hashtag activism!)

Giving Tuesday is about giving back to those that have given to you.

Why is it important?

2020 has given us a few ups and *a lot* of downs. Communities, families, small businesses and organizations have all been affected by the pandemic and other wordly issues. The people in your communities need your support and generosity more than *ever*.

Creating a culture of giving in your community is essential for a healthy, happy and successful future. We are all connected in some way and impacted by people we might not even know. Giving anything in anyway makes the world go 'round— giving time, money or your voice has power.

How can I get involved?

Giving back is as simple as making someone smile, or lending a helping hand. Everyone has the ability to give in their own special way; every act of generosity counts. To get you started, here are a few ideas to get involved and give back this Giving Tuesday!

1. Use your voice

You have the power to change the world one conversation (and IG post) at a time. Reach out to those in your life that have impacted you in some way and write them a letter or gratitude. Share positive messages from your favorite causes and organizations on social media. Change starts with you!

2. Donate and fundraise

Donations are a great way to have a direct financial and social impact in your community. There are *so* many non-profit organizations right around the corner. Collect items to donate to your local food pantry or other organizations.

If you can't get outside, you can donate and fundraise right from your phone. Connect with one of your fave organizations and start a fundraising goal. Social media is your BFF! Helping someone is only a click away.

3. Give your time

Time is something special that you can never get back. Spend it wisely this Giving Tuesday by making blankets, talking to people on the phone or volunteering at a local non-profit. Your thoughtfulness has a *huge* impact on others!
