Will there ever be peace in the Hype House? From its founding at the end of 2019, the house has gone from the ultimate space to create TikTok content to the center of seemingly never-ending headlines about drama between members, drama with other houses and individual scandals. Now, Hype's biggest stars, Charli and Dixie D'Amelio, have officially cut ties with the house.
Speculation that the sisters were leaving has been buzzing for some time, but finally a representative for Charli and Dixie confirmed that the two were no longer members. The reason given for their departure is that the D'Amelios split from the business aspect of the house, but "their friendships with the members continue."
The split isn't exactly surprising. Recently, Charli and Hype House co-founder Chase Hudson (Lil Huddy) announced their breakup, and fans noticed that the Hype House Instagram account had stopped re-posting both Charli and Dixie's content (even though the sisters have been active online during quarantine). So it was only a matter of time until an official announcement came.
Even without membership in the house, Charli and Dixie aren't slowing down. Charli is the most followed person on TikTok (with over 54.9 million subscribers), both sisters have a number of partnerships in the works and there's even rumors of an upcoming D'Amelio family reality show. We can't wait to continue to watch their videos and see what they do next!
