This is bad news for Selena Gomez fans
Revival Tour ticket holders, brace yourselves: Selena Gomez cancelled the rest of her tour.
In a statement to People, Selena explained that she is taking time off due to her lupus, an autoimmune disease. This was prompted by the anxiety, panic attacks and depression she has suffered from as a result of the illness. It seems like S is putting her health and well-being first—a completely reasonable and respectable thing to do, if you ask us. Read more of her statement below...
"As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges."
"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."
Though we feel for Revival Tour ticket holders who have not had the chance to see Sel, we're so glad that she is taking care of herself. Wishing you nothing but the best, babe!
