School Stress Busters
Ever feel like you’re strugglin’ to deal with all that stress (and homework!)? According to a recent article in the New York Times a principal in Needham, Massachusetts is trying to relieve his students of mega pressures.
This powerful principal asked teachers to give their kids a break. That means no homework on weekends and holiday breaks. Sweet, right? Seniors in Needham stretch out, and chill out, with mandatory yoga classes.
Many schools are now trying to implement this principal’s ideas. A group known as S.O.S. (Stressed Out Students), is focused on helping students not be so stressed about tests, grades, or failing. They believe a less-stress policy will create healthier students, who can actually handle more in their lives.
BLOG ABOUT IT! So, what do we think? Does your school have mandatory yoga or meditation? Do they offer these classes? Do you wish they did? Blog it out, babes!
