More than two decades after she first graced our screens, Elle Woods is getting the ultimate throwback—and Reese Witherspoon herself is looking for a totally fabulous high-school version of our fave heroine to star in the prequel to Legally Blonde.

Reese announced the exciting news while recreating the iconic bend and snap (because, duh) in a perfectly pink two-piece suit. And honestly, we're even more excited than she is.

The show, produced by Reese’s Hello Sunshine media company, is being written by the genius team behind Gossip Girl—so yeah, you know we’re in for some major Y2K vibes. 

What’s the prequel all about, you ask? We’re taking a trip back to Elle’s teenage years—first love, first heartbreak and everything in between. Expect add all the girl power and `90s aesthetic you could dream of (fearless prediction: tons of pink).

The search for Elle Woods is on!

On September 25, Hello Sunshine launched an open casting call—and they’re looking for someone just like YOU to play the younger version of Elle.

Do you navigate your high school world with smarts, sass and a signature sparkle? Consider yourself “a natural-born leader with Bel Air tastes and an allergy to social injustice"? Then you def need to audition!
