*grabs mic* *clears throat* HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SOFIA CARSON!

This sweet and talented singer and actress is *amazing* her role as Evie in Disney Channel's Descendants series (the third installment is coming nex summer!). In honor of this super star's b-day today, here are our favorite things about Sofia.

1. Did you know: Sofia majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in international relations from University of California Los Angeles. We love a book smart babe!

2. Speaking of smart girls...she's fluent in English, French and Spanish.

3. Her last name is actually Char, but she chose Carson as a stage name to honor her grandmother, Lauraine Carson. 

4. She can send chills down our spine with a single note (see below for receipts!).

5. She’s walked in several shows during Paris Fashion Week – six to be exact! Some of which included Mugler, Moncler and John Galliano. Can you say goals?!

6. And on the topic of fashion: Sofia loves to rock a leather jacket, just like her character, Evie. But she also likes to mix feminine pieces into her wardrobe to create her own unique look (that we're obsessed with BTW). She's *total* style inspo.

7. She once told W Magazine that she wrote a song about intense heartbreak when she was 10-year-old. Teen angst knows no age. 

8. She surprised a fan with meet and greet tickets while on On Air with Ryan Secreast. We love how sweet she is!

9. She's not only obsessed with Pretty Little Liars (because who isn't) but she'll also be starring as Ava in the spinoff series Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. 

10. She uses her platform to empower girls and works to be a good role model for everyone. "In everything that I do, every song that I write, every role I take, I’m very careful about what I put out in the world, because girls can be influenced so easily. And to be able to influence them is an honor," she told W Magazine.
