Jake Paul spills more deets about leaving Disney's Bizaardvark
We’re major Bizaardvark fans and can always count on the show for some major LOLs, which is why we were shocked to hear that Jake Paul (Dirk) has left the show. He’s been in the news recently for some not-so-great stuff (like pulling some dangerous pranks at his house and disrupting the peace in his neighborhood), and some fans are wondering if that’s part of the reason for his departure from the show.
After tweeting that he and Disney came to a mutual agreement and that there’s no bad blood between them, Jake went more in depth in a new vlog explaining some of the reasons behind his decision to leave the show.
“For both Disney and myself, after communicating for a couple months while I was daily vlogging on set and I was growing Team 10 and other business stuff I have going on, it was so hard for the both of us to make everything work,” he said.
He also explained that he felt like he was outgrowing his role as Dirk on Bizaardvark. “I feel like I’ve gotten so much older in the past two years and matured as a person,” Jake said. “I want to play more adult roles and grow in that sense. For me, it wasn’t always fun to be playing the kid role all the time.”
Jake did say that he will miss being a part of the show, and that he had grown very close to his cast members.
“I loved everyone that was a part of Bizaardvark and all the cast mates,” he said. “All of your futures are so, so bright.”
Some of Jake’s co-stars have spoken out about his departure from the show. Ethan Wacker (Bernie) posted a super emotional video on his Instagram, where he said that Jake was his best friend on set.
