As an early Christmas present to fans, though, Austin was able to give us something else: a mixtape of 19 of his songs, old and new, titled This Is Not The Album. Featuring musical collabs with artists like Becky G, T-Pain and Kalin and Myles, This Is Not The Album is everything we've been waiting for even if it's, as the title suggests, not the debut album we've been expecting.

"Ninety percent of the tracks are all produced and written by me," Austin told Us Weekly. "Pretty much what you hear is all me, like what I'm feeling, what I'm going through. It definitely is a more slowed down, romantic type of vibe. I'm a big fan of that vibe so that's what I created."

The surprise release shows all of us fans that Austin hasn't forgetten about us—and though he hasn't put out his first full album, it's not for a lack of music making. And judging by how awesome the tracks are on Not The Album, the actual album is sure to be truly incredible.
